I run a quarterly event called Stoke Newington History Talks where I’m joined by two different speakers each time. I’m glad to say the number of people attending has been growing steadily since the first event in November 2016. I’m always happy to speak at events such as user group meetings, research groups, festivals etc. so do get in touch if you would like to talk about a potential speaking engagement.

30.11.2017 – Stoke Newington History Talks #5: New River, Save the Reservoirs Campaign and photos from the Hackney Archives

SNHT no.5

I’m very pleased to invite you to the 5th and 1 year anniversary Stoke Newington History Talks event. Due to popular demand the event had to move to a larger venue and will be held at the beautiful St Matthias Hall (Wordsworth Road opposite Belgrade Road).

A year ago 25 people showed up to the 1st event which was held upstairs at The Clarence pub on Church Street and the following three events were held at the White Hart pub on the High Street, attracting 70 people last time. Let’s see if we can fill St Matthias Hall! 🙂

17.01.2018 – Nerd Nite London

I look forward to presenting my research into how Clissold Park was saved from development in the 1880s at a Nerd Nite London event at the start of next year. Sounds like a fun and interesting event.
