I was very happy to contribute an article about the campaign to save Clissold Park from development in the 1880s to the 2018 Spring edition of London Landscapes; the tri-annual newsletter of the London Parks & Gardens Trust.

I’ve lived in Stoke Newington in the London Borough of Hackney since 2002 and became interested in its history in 2011.

A history buff from a young age, I research Stoke Newington’s rich colourful past as a hobby, collecting and sharing material from archives, online resources, books and private collections. I was a local history adviser on BBC’s Antique Roadshow, Sky Arts’ Landscape Artist of the Year and Channel 5’s Jay Blades – No Place Like Home.

In 2016 I launched ‘Stoke Newington History Talks‘; a reoccurring event every few months featuring three local history talks. Subscribe to the mailing list to be notified about upcoming events.
